Adventures in photography...or what does this button do?
As promised, here are a few selected photos from the many I snapped on Jan 1 while we took the kids hiking around the Sipsey River. For those wondering who the other folks in the pictures are, we took another bunch of suckers...oops, I mean friends, the Stewart family with us. Commence Focus on Fungi Sequence... Commence Nature au Naturale Sequence... I was trying to get that 'rushing water' look with this one and I sorta mostly succeeded. Commence Family Sequence... I have no clue why Lil' G decided to lay down on that rock...he just did, so I took a picture! I clearly have much to learn about composition, FOD, focus, quality of light, etc, not to mention post processing. My head swims thinking about getting pictures that approach the quality of my Sister-in-law's or my cousin's photos (y'all know who I'm talking about... ReedingRainbow & Indy Art Photography ). Yeah, that's right, we're talkin' to you Mr. 2009...And we're ready for whatever you got, punk! Um, yeah, so we took the kids hiking along the Sipsey River today. Beautiful weather and scenery made for a good start to the year. I snapped a bunch of pics with the new DSLR. I think a few of 'em turned out okay and I'll post a sampling when I get a bit more time.
