Up on TWO!

Angela and I are proud to announce that as of Feb. 25, 2009, Izzy can now ride her bicycle without training aids of any kind!  Here are a few pictures to prove it. Proper safety gear is very important and should always include a bike helmet and a pink tutu as a bare minimum. The Send Off: Izzy is underway! I think she can sense the freedom that is at her fingertips.   It is never too early to begin learning proper wheelie techniques. Izzy was pretty wobbly the first day, but the next day she got the hang of cruising down the road and turning around within the width of the street.  Progress!   Now that she can ride a bicycle, she wants to ride Gavin's dirtbike.  I'll have to make sure the throttle limiter is in place because Izzy already likes to go wide open when I take her for rides on that poor little PW50. What's amazing is that fact that both Gavin and Izzy learned to ride a bicycle at the 3.5 year old mark, about 1.5 to 2 years before I did!  I think I was five or poss

So Kimberly photo tagged me.   http://reedingrainbow.blogspot.com/   I'm not really sure if I'm going to do this correctly or not...but I'll give it a shot. The above photo is of non other than 2006 MotoGP WORLD CHAMPION Nicky Hayden. Lately Angela has been buying these Fiber Plus granola bar things as a semi healthy snack. They taste pretty good and, supposedly, are good for ya (they are really just glorified candy bars though). I usually pop one in my lunch box to either cap off lunch or help get through the dreaded 2:30 snack attack. I never thought anything of it. In fact, I thought I was doing my body a favor as my preferred alternative is a Mrs. Freshley's Honeybun from the snack machine. http://www.mrsfreshleys.com/mrs_Varieties/category.cfm?categoryid=46 And those things are basically a handy snack sized glazed heart-attack in a bag. But to my horror today, as I was unwrapping one of the aformentioned FiberPlus bars, I noticed a tiny warning on the back side of the wrapper... What the freak?!! "Gastrointestinal discomfort"? Really? I was horrified. I mean just the way the warning is worded is weird. "NEW USERS"...it is as if I'm a new drug addict or something. Is there
