Nine Years

As of May 19, we have been married for n-i-n-e years.  Holy cow.  It really has gone by quickly.  Even more amazing is that Angela has not left me!  But that is simply because my voo-doo is strong.  We celebrated the occasion by dropping the kids off with Mom and Dad and then we spent the next three hours making out in the mini-van.  Woot!  Okay, just kidding about that last part.  We had a quite dinner and then went to watch Iron Man 2.  It was great to spend a couple of quite hours remeniscing about simpler times with my Sweetie.  Here's to another exciting, challenging, tiring, fun, wonderful 9 years Angela!

Air Superiority

There was an air show at the local Air Force base (as if every town has one) a couple of weeks ago. We decided to load up the kids and spend the day walking up and down a concrete run way in the blazing sun. Sounds like a good time right? Hey, it was FREE!!  Actually, we did have a good time.  The kids were pretty well behaved and didn't get whiney until the end as it was a pretty long and boring wait until the Thunderbirds took off and did their thang.  Anyway, we stuck it out to the end, unlike all the lightweights (Stewarts and Wilsons, I'm callin' y'all out!) that left early and we were rewarded with a great show by the Air Force's finest. I'm proud of this shot!  The pressure above the wing is so low that the moisture in the air vaporizes at ambient temps. How is it that babies can just shut down and sleep no matter what is going on around them? This is not our kid!  He just decided that he needed to be in the picture.  Weird. B...

Road Triiiiiiiip!!!!!...or my version of a "mancation"

My dear wife is aw-sum. What other woman would let her husband go wandering off for four days on a pointless journey with no destination or plan while she stayed with the three kids?  She made it as guilt free for me as possible, and for that I am supremely grateful. I think it has been about three years since I have done a multi-day motocycle trip...and I could tell.  For a while now I've been itching to get on the bike and just ride.  Last year, I got to do two trackdays and I thought those would help curb my wanderlust.  But in reality, I just got addicted to trackdays and I still wanted to travel. Initially, Chuck and I were supposed to go to the Ozarks and base our camp in Eureka Springs.  It had been a long time since I had been up that way and I was hoping to get to hang out with cousins and family that live way up in Wal-Mart-land.  Mother Nature had different plans though.  Plans that call...
