To Seoul and Back Again

This was our view from the room at the Best Western Gangnam (don't you dare pronounce it like it's written or the taxi driver may never find it. . .it's more like Kongnaum).

Seoul is one awesome city!  Seoul is one crazy packed and busy city!  Seoul has everything you want or need (like some French-style pastries and breads!).  I never knew I was a carbohydrate or bread junkie till I was deprived of it. . .then I found Urban Cafe right near our hotel!


Tuesday through Friday was crazy packed with all the touristy things we could muster.  I won't bore you with details, but here's a picture story of our stay.  I wanna go back!

So did I have the trip of a lifetime?  You bet I did!  Is Jean an awesome travelling companion?  Heck yeah!  I would take her on the Amazing Race anytime!  But next time I hit SK, I'm taking the rest of my family with me!

Am I in a circus, or what?

It's 9:00pm and I'm reflecting on the day. I'm super tired, but I can't go to bed yet on account of Milla's last feeding for the day (scheduled around 10:00pm or so). I can't help but laugh now that I look back on the events of the day, but I was ready to grab the keys and my purse around 4:00pm. Forget any luggage, I'd just charge everything I need or want when I hit my destination-- wherever that was going to be (probably the first of the Florida Keys for some Key Lime Pie). Did I mention I was going to go alone? Maybe I'd take Milla. . . Let me set the scene for you. . .It's 4:00pm, I've been watching the neighbor's two kids since 11:00am. Yes that's a total of 5 kids-- did I mention I have a one month old? Being the thoughtful wife that I am I decided to make chocolate banana bread so Ty could enjoy a nice warm treat. Family Photos

Ya know how families tend to have a theme when its time to take the annual family picture? Don't know what I'm talking about? Picture Mom, Dad, and all eight kids dressed in faux cowboy shirts with those mother of pearl buttons, blue jeans, and cowboy boots and to top it off, they are all sporting home-made denim vests and cowboy hats. Everybody from teen-age Billy right down to the still-in-diapers toddler all dressed exactly alike. The family is neatly arranged on bales of hay with a cheap looking barn back drop. Get the picture? Anyway, I think I found a family photo that takes the cake...and no, this is not us or anybody I know...its from the internets, so feel free to laugh AT them!
